The shoegaze and trip-hop revivals continue to gain momentum, and 16 Underground—an emerging LA band inspired in part by Sneaker Pimps’ iconic single—exemplifies this evolution. Drawing from punk and hardcore roots, the group crafts atmospheric, sun-drenched compositions layered with breakbeat rhythms, ethereal vocals, and textured soundscapes that bridge ’90s nostalgia with contemporary freshness.

Formed in 2022, 16 Underground released their debut EP Drifting Deeper two years later. Today, they announce Without A Trace, their latest project recorded with producer Max Epstein, alongside the lead single “Glimpse Of You.” The track merges the immersive textures of LA contemporaries like Crushed with added DJ scratches and a hypnotic, pillow-like warmth evoking a “kaleidoscope of sound.” Below, explore the video for “Glimpse Of You,” alongside clips for the title track and the full Without A Trace tracklist.
