75 Terrorists Neutralized in Balochistan Since July 5: CM Bugti Reports Major Intelligence Operations Success
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti confirmed on Friday that 75 terrorists had been neutralized since July 5 through targeted intelligence-based operations across the province.
In a social media post on X, CM Bugti noted: “Operation Shaban is advancing effectively following the terrorist attack on Mangi Dam Police Station.”
He clarified that 39 terrorists were killed during Operation Shaban via joint ground and air efforts by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and Balochistan Police in remote mountainous regions. A total of 75 terrorists have been eliminated in intelligence-driven actions since July 5.
Bugti also disclosed that a terrorist plot targeting Zehri Police Station in Kachhar was thwarted today.
“The state’s authority will be upheld in Balochistan at all costs; terrorists will not evade justice,” he asserted.
The Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, stated that civil and military leadership had reached a “unified and decisive” commitment to eradicate terrorism after a series of major incidents in Balochistan.
At a meeting in Quetta with the Provincial Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, alongside Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen. Nadeem and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, PM Shehbaz declared, “The civil and military leadership has collectively resolved to end terrorism.”
PM Shehbaz’s remarks followed the military’s report that 42 individuals—mostly security and law enforcement personnel—had been killed in terrorist attacks and subsequent operations in Balochistan since July 5.
At a press briefing in Rawalpindi, the military’s spokesperson indicated three major terrorist incidents: an armed assault on Quetta’s outskirts on July 5, a police post attack in Ziarat on July 6, and an army convoy ambush in Bela on Wednesday.
ISPR Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry cautioned that terrorists and their supporters would face no “rationality or proportionality” as security forces intensify counterterrorism efforts.
He explicitly accused India and Afghanistan of orchestrating the attacks, stating they were carried out by India and “forces intolerant of Pakistan’s stability and progress.”
