On Monday, the New Orleans Saints used the waiver wire to bolster both sides of their offensive and defensive lines.
The club claimed offensive tackle Mason Murphy and defensive tackle Colby Wooden from waivers.
Murphy, who went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, signed with the Chicago Bears before being waived. During his college career, he started games at right tackle and center for Auburn in his final season and accumulated 22 starts over four seasons at USC.
Colby Wooden, a fourth-round selection by the Green Bay Packers in 2023, started 16 games for the Packers last season. He was traded to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for linebacker Zaire Franklin in March, but was released during roster cutdowns with the AFC South club.
