On Tuesday, Germany accused Russia of carrying out an attempted hybrid attack using a drone equipped with explosives at a major airport earlier this month. In response, Germany announced diplomatic counter‑measures, including the closure of Russia’s consulate in Bonn and the termination of the contract for the Russian House cultural centre in Berlin, according to Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul. The European Union voiced full solidarity with Germany, while NATO pledged to defend its members, and Estonia and Poland expressed strong support. FRANCE 24’s Carys Garland reports.
