Artisan Partners, an investment management firm, released its second-quarter 2026 investor commentary for the “Artisan Global Opportunities Strategy.” Global equities experienced a strong rebound during the quarter, with the MSCI ACWI Index returning 15.3%, as resilient economic growth, robust corporate earnings, and continued artificial intelligence enthusiasm supported markets despite persistent inflation, elevated bond yields, and geopolitical uncertainty. The portfolio delivered solid absolute returns of 12.65% (net) but lagged the benchmark, primarily due to underweight exposure to information technology and an overweight position in health care. Strong stock selection in technology and energy partially offset these headwinds. The fund continues to identify attractive long-term opportunities across AI infrastructure, health care, and consumer internet, while maintaining disciplined valuation approaches given the significant appreciation in several AI-related equities. Management remains focused on durable franchises with identifiable profit cycles and compelling long-term earnings potential.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, the Artisan Global Opportunities Strategy highlighted DoorDash, Inc. (NASDAQ:DASH). DoorDash operates as a leading U.S.-based online food ordering and delivery platform. On September 2, 2026, DoorDash closed at $226.24 per share. The stock returned 6.09% over the past month, while shares declined 9.06% over the past 52 weeks. DoorDash has a market capitalization of $98.04 billion.
Artisan Global Opportunities Strategy provided the following commentary regarding DoorDash in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
“Notable additions during the quarter included DoorDash, Inc. (NASDAQ:DASH) and Keyence. DoorDash operates a technology-driven local commerce marketplace. Recent results demonstrated continued strength in underlying demand, with record membership additions and ongoing market share gains across the restaurant, retail, and grocery delivery segments. While investments in new verticals have tempered near-term margin expansion, we believe they have the potential to meaningfully extend the company’s growth runway. Shares have also been pressured by concerns that AI could disrupt consumer internet companies, but DoorDash’s fulfillment network solves a physical, logistics-intensive problem that we believe is less vulnerable to near-term AI disruption. We continue to believe the market underestimates the durability of DoorDash’s network and long-term monetization opportunity, and we increased the position following the recent pullback.”
