French President Emmanuel Macron held official talks with the United Kingdom’s newly appointed Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, at 10 Downing Street. The encounter occurred a day after Macron and Burnham, together with King Charles and Queen Camilla, attended a private preview of the Bayeux Tapestry exhibition at the British Museum in London. Macron is the first European Union leader to meet Burnham since his appointment. The discussions are set to address the Britain‑EU relationship, continued support for Ukraine, and the management of migrant crossings across the English Channel.
