Supergrass Expand 2027 UK Tour with Three New Dates Following Overwhelming Ticket Sales

Supergrass have expanded their upcoming 2027 UK tour, adding three new dates to accommodate extraordinary demand. Full details are outlined below.

Frontman Gaz Coombes and his bandmates initially unveiled the trek last week, promising fans a setlist packed with both classic hits and deeper cuts. The run will mark the Oxford-formed group’s first major headline tour on home soil since their 2025 ‘I Should Coco’ 30th anniversary celebrations.

The band originally confirmed nine performances scheduled for April and May, with stops planned in Newcastle, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, London, Bristol, and Portsmouth.

Responding to sustained ticket sales, Supergrass have now announced additional gigs in Glasgow (April 28), Manchester (May 2), and London (May 8).

General sale tickets for the complete itinerary went live at 10am BST on Friday, September 4. The full revised schedule is listed below.

Discussing the forthcoming dates, Coombes shared that the band are eager to return to performing next year.

“Last time around was all about ‘I Should Coco’, so for the next live shows we’re going to have some fun going through the records, pulling out even more of those hits and deep cuts for your ears. Bring on Spring 27!”

Supergrass originally parted ways in 2010 before reuniting in 2019 with a stated goal to “bring joy into a slightly disturbed world.”

In a 2024 conversation with NME, Coombes addressed the possibility of new music, which would succeed the band’s sixth studio album, 2008’s ‘Diamond Hoo Ha’.

“This [tour] is about celebrating what we’ve done. We’ve talked about recording stuff before,” he explained. “No, there are no plans to record new music. Getting back on stage is the exciting part at the moment.”

Coombes also revealed that he intends to begin writing sessions for his next solo record while pursuing “a couple of other projects.” His most recent solo release, ‘Turn The Car Around’, came out in 2023.
