Yigit Turhan is set to join Ferragamo as its new chief brand officer, WWD has learned. An internal announcement on Friday confirmed Turhan’s appointment, with his start date effective May 18. He is expected to succeed Michela Ratti in the role and will report to James Ferragamo, the chief transformation and sustainability officer.
In his new position, Turhan will oversee activities across marketing, communication, visual merchandising, and CRM, among other responsibilities.
Turhan most recently served at Valentino, a role he exited in February. He joined the Roman house in 2018, holding various positions including director of brand strategy before being appointed chief marketing officer in 2023. His previous experiences include tenures at the Ermenegildo Zegna Group and Gucci.
Turhan’s appointment at Ferragamo follows that of Fabrizio Freda, former longtime CEO of The Estée Lauder Companies, who recently joined Ferragamo Finanziaria SpA as a special strategic adviser. Ferragamo Finanziaria SpA is the holding company of the Ferragamo family and the controlling shareholder of Salvatore Ferragamo SpA.
