US President Donald Trump has stated that the majority of military aid to Ukraine was supplied during the Biden administration.
Since Russia’s full-scale invasion began, the United States has provided Kyiv with billions of dollars in military assistance, with much of it delivered under former President Joe Biden.
Trump now criticizes the fact that those weapons and ammunition were transferred without cost.
He argues that Europe should have borne the expenses and insists the United States will seek reimbursement.
Financing Ukraine’s defence against Russia has long been a contentious issue in US-European relations.
With the conflict showing no signs of ending, can the two allies find common ground and continue supporting Kyiv?
