Sree Charani and Prema Rawat delivered a devastating bowling performance as the India Women’s cricket team dismantled the Pakistan batting lineup during their Group A encounter of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
After Pakistan Women opted to bat following the toss, India’s pace attack applied immediate pressure. However, it was Charani who emerged as the primary destroyer, ruthlessly dismantling the Pakistan middle order with a formidable three-wicket burst.
India vs Pakistan: Charani and Prema Take Three Wickets Each
Charani finished her opening two overs with outstanding figures of 3/3, highlighting her exceptional control and capacity to exploit the conditions. She initially trapped Shawaal Zulfiqar lbw for 14, before dismissing Gull Feroza for a duck, with Nandani Sharma completing the catch.
The left-arm spinner then delivered another significant blow by removing Ayesha Zafar for two, caught by captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Her three wickets came in a devastating spell that left Pakistan reeling at 35/5 after nine overs. She concluded with a spell of 3/7 across her four overs.
Following Sree Charani’s spell, Prema Rawat took over and demolished Pakistan’s lower order, as her impressive figures of 3/9 in four overs swept away Fatima Sana and her teammates. From 27 for no loss, Pakistan lost all ten wickets for just 28 runs as they were bowled out for a meager 55.
