Under the E1 initiative, Israel has demolished Palestinian shops to create an Israeli‑only road linking the illegal Ma’ale Adumim settlement with Jerusalem. The project will displace roughly 4,000 Palestinians to make way for new settler homes and effectively split the West Bank in two. Al Jazeera’s Leila Warah reports.
