Fontaines D.C. Add Second Manchester Heaton Park Show for 2027 Stadium Tour Amid Huge Demand

Fontaines D.C. have added a second massive date at Manchester’s Heaton Park to their huge 2027 outdoor and stadium tour, responding to unprecedented public demand.

The Irish indie-rock giants confirmed their sprawling set of UK outdoor shows for summer 2027 last week, building on the extraordinary momentum of their recent 2026 tour. Following the release of tickets for their 2026 leg, numerous arena dates across Spain, Italy, France, and the UK sold out within minutes, highlighting the band’s rapid rise to arena-filling status.

The 2027 outdoor itinerary boasts massive venues, including Blackweir Fields in Cardiff, St James’ Park in Newcastle, Manchester’s Heaton Park, Glasgow Green, and the London Stadium. Little Simz and Viagra Boys are lined up as support acts for these landmark outdoor stadium shows.

Due to phenomenal demand, the band has officially announced a second Heaton Park date, scheduled for Sunday, July 4, 2027.

General admission tickets for the newly announced shows will go on sale on Thursday, September 10, at 10:00 AM BST, with an exclusive pre-sale opening to fans shortly before the general release.

Fontaines D.C.’s highly anticipated new album, Dopamine Chamber, drops on October 16 via XL Recordings. Produced by James Ford, the record follows their UK platinum-certified 2024 masterpiece Romance. The album has already been previewed by the lead single ‘Marianne’ and further new tracks ‘Six Shot Morning’ and ‘Happy, For You’.

‘Happy, For You’ made its live debut at Leeds Festival, after technical and logistical problems forced the band to cut the track from their Reading headline show the previous evening.

NME awarded Fontaines D.C.’s Reading headline performance four-and-a-half stars, writing: “Sorry for the short set,” ends Chatten before the pure anxiety explosion of the full stop of ‘Starburster’. We hear that three songs – and reportedly another never-played-before new one – were cut from the setlist due to the delay, and we envy the people at the sister site in Leeds who we assume are going to get the full Fontaines R+L headline experience as it was intended.

“Either way, tonight was a deserved coronation from the band of our time, even if we didn’t get them in full.”

For the 2026 arena shows in the UK and Europe they will be joined by Chalk, and for their two shows at Slane Castle, the band have enlisted support from Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach.

With the latter, they will become only the third Irish act to headline Slane Castle, following Thin Lizzy in 1981 and U2 in 2001. Other huge headline acts have included The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Guns N’ Roses, Oasis, Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Eminem and Harry Styles.
