New York-based pet technology company Fi has initiated a voluntary recall of two dog supplements due to potential salmonella contamination linked to an ingredient from its manufacturer. The manufacturer has temporarily suspended production while a full investigation is underway.
The two affected products include the Fi Calming supplement for Dogs (180g, lot number 26118) and the Fi 8-in-1 Formula supplement for Dogs (180g, lot number 26159).
The recall was officially announced as health authorities warn that contaminated supplements can affect both animals and humans.
The recalled products were distributed directly to consumers as well as through major online retailers Amazon and Chewy.
Consumers who have purchased either of the affected products are urged to discontinue use immediately and safely dispose of the items.
