The UFC will crown a new women’s flyweight champion on October 3 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, as part of the UFC 332 fight card.
In the main event, top-ranked contender Natalia Silva takes on Wang Cong for the title vacated by two-time champion Valentina Shevchenko earlier this month. Shevchenko, who improved her record to 26-4-1 with a November 2025 decision win over Zhang Weili at UFC 322, sustained ligament damage to her back and shoulders that will sideline her for nearly a year. With Shevchenko unable to compete, she relinquished the belt, and the UFC set Silva vs. Cong as the headliner for UFC 332.

UFC 332 Main Event: Natalia Silva vs. Wang Cong
Natalia Silva (20-5-1) is a former Jungle Fights flyweight titleholder. She signed with the UFC in 2020 but did not make her debut until 2022 due to a broken arm and injury setbacks. Silva won her Octagon debut against Jasmine Jasudavicius by decision and has since compiled seven additional UFC victories against increasingly notable opponents.
Silva gained widespread recognition with a September 2024 decision win over former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade, earning a Fight of the Night bonus. She has since defeated two more former UFC titleholders—Alexa Grasso in May 2025 and Rose Namajunas in January—both by decision. The 29-year-old enters UFC 332 as the No. 1-ranked fighter in the women’s 125-pound division.
Wang Cong (10-1) joined the UFC in 2024 and arrived with significant buzz thanks to her 2015 kickboxing victory over then-champion Valentina Shevchenko. Cong scored a knockout win over Victoria Leonardo in her UFC debut but was submitted by Gabriella Fernandes in their follow-up bout in China. She has since rebounded with four straight decision victories, most recently defeating Tracey Cortez on July 11. The 34-year-old is ranked No. 8 in the division.
