With critically acclaimed performances and an unflinching narrative execution, Furious stands out as one of the most compelling crime thrillers of 2026.
Created by Elizabeth Meriwether and loosely inspired by the 1987 film Black Widow, the series follows FBI agent Alice Black as she hunts a calculating serial killer targeting powerful men entangled in a web of abuse.
The series features a powerhouse cast led by Emmy Rossum and Lola Petticrew, alongside Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Scoot McNairy, Jake Lacy, Rob Yang, Hope Davis, and Danny McCarthy.
All eight episodes of the first season are currently available to stream on Disney+ in the UK.
Is Furious season 2 happening?
Disney and Hulu officially confirmed the renewal of Furious for a second season on August 28, 2026, just days before the season one finale aired.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming season, creator Elizabeth Meriwether admitted to feeling nervous about expanding the narrative beyond her usual limited series format, but emphasized her deep connection to the characters: “I do get quite nervous about having to do a whole other season just because I’ve been doing limited series the past few years. But the way I calm myself down is by kind of going back to the characters… I just love, like, Alice and Nora, and I love Danny, and I’m just excited to be back with them and figure out what they get up to.”
Does season 2 have a release date?
As of September 12, no official release date has been announced for the second season, and details regarding the start of production remain under wraps.
