Good Brothers Reveal WWE Didn’t Offer Pay Cut Before Exit

Several longtime WWE performers have left the company in recent months, with some like Sheamus and the New Day indicating they were given the option to remain with a reduced salary. However, not all departing talent received similar considerations, according to the Good Brothers.

Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson recently addressed the circumstances surrounding their WWE departure on their podcast, Talk’n Shop. Unlike their fellow wrestlers who were offered contract renegotiation options, the duo clarified they were never presented with a choice to stay.

“They could have offered us a pay cut,” Gallows remarked. “I mean, that would have been kind.”

When Anderson asked his tag team partner if they would have accepted such terms, Gallows initially responded, “Doesn’t matter. It would have been nice if we had been offered it, though.”

The pair then debated whether they would have agreed to a salary reduction. While their initial reactions suggested reluctance, both eventually acknowledged they likely would have accepted the offer.

“Okay. We would have accepted the pay cut,” Anderson admitted with a laugh.

“So, I probably would have accepted the pay cut,” Gallows agreed.

Their final WWE television match took place last September against Hank Walker and Tank Ledger on NXT. Since then, much of their in-ring work has shifted to Noah in Japan, while also making regular appearances with Maple Leaf Pro and Major League Wrestling.
