Alex Palou remains at the top of the IndyCar championship after securing pole position and finishing seventh in the 2026 Indianapolis 500. David Malukas moved up to second place in the standings following a disappointing race finish on Sunday, trailing Palou by 37 points; Palou also received a modest point deduction after the event.
Kyle Kirkwood dropped to third after finishing 16th at the Indy 500, 12 points behind Malukas.
