Flowers and chocolates are classic ways to show appreciation, but Eurowings is offering a much bigger gesture for someone truly unforgettable: a plane named in their honour.
The German low-cost airline, part of the Lufthansa Group, is asking residents across Europe to nominate people who have made a meaningful difference through their kindness, support and care for others.
“Every Eurowings aircraft connects people and brings them closer to those who matter most,” said Max Kownatzki, CEO of Eurowings.
“With ‘Name a Plane’, we are celebrating the people who make life easier for others. Often, it is the small, everyday gestures that make the greatest difference.
“Putting their name on one of our aircraft is our way of giving that contribution the recognition it deserves.”
How to enter Eurowings’ ‘Name a Plane’ competition
Nominations are open until 11 October at eurowings.com/nameaplane.
Entrants must explain in 250 to 400 characters how or why their chosen person makes life easier for them.
Each person may submit one nomination. The competition is open to European residents aged 18 and over.
The winning names will be announced in December, with four Eurowings Airbus A320 aircraft carrying the first names of the people selected.
