The Acclaimed’s AEW contract situation remains uncertain as the expiration date approaches. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens are expected to become free agents when their current deals end at the start of October.
Fightful Select reported that no negotiations have occurred between AEW and The Acclaimed, and there is currently no indication that new contracts will be offered. “In following up on their contract status, FightfulSelect.com was told that there haven’t been negotiations about a new deal, or word new deals will be offered,” the outlet wrote.
When asked on X about a possible reunion, Bowens replied “No.”
Bowens is now a member of AEW’s The Opps stable, alongside Katsuyori Shibata, Hook, Action Andretti, and Samoa Joe. His most recent appearance was on the buy‑in at AEW All In, where The Opps lost an eight‑man tag team match to Lio Rush and The Rascalz.
As for Caster, he has not competed in AEW since the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal on December 17, 2025.
Bowens and Caster are former AEW World Tag Team Champions and former AEW World Trios title holders, together with Billy Gunn. They were honored as Most Improved in the 2022 Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards.
