NFL Fines Colts Guard Matt Goncalves for Beer-Related Celebration

San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk was not the only player fined by the NFL this week for a beverage-themed post-play celebration.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Indianapolis Colts guard Matt Goncalves was also penalized for an offensive demonstration. After Colts tight end Tyler Warren scored a touchdown in Monday night’s loss to the Chiefs, he handed the ball to Goncalves, who mimed opening a can and drinking from it.

Goncalves was fined $8,847 for a celebration that the league considered in poor taste.

Juszczyk, who is appealing his fine, received a similar letter from the league but was fined $14,926 for pretending to chug a beverage during a victory over the Dolphins.
