Israel Election Committee Moves to Bar Prominent Palestinian-Led Party Lists

Israel’s election oversight body has voted to disqualify the two principal Palestinian-led party lists from next month’s national ballot. In response, Hadash legislator Ofer Cassif — who was also barred — told Al Jazeera that Israel has become a “fully fledged fascist dictatorship.” The disqualifications remain subject to appeal.
