The Falcons have failed to convert a red zone possession through their first two games, marking only the fourth such occurrence since 1978. The previous team to go scoreless in the red zone for that long was the 2008 Rams.
On Thursday night, it required three separate drives for Atlanta to finally reach the Packers’ 20-yard line.
Running back Bijan Robinson propelled the Falcons into scoring position with a 55-yard rush, placing them at the Green Bay 5-yard line. Two plays later, Robinson plunged into the end zone on a 3-yard touchdown run.
Through seven carries, Robinson has gained 73 yards.
Quarterback Michael Penix has struggled in his 2026 season opener, completing just 2 of 7 passes for 22 yards while throwing an interception.
Despite Penix’s offensive struggles, the Falcons managed to tie the Packers 7-7 by the end of the first quarter.
