A group of Senegalese football supporters imprisoned following their nation’s tumultuous Africa Cup of Nations final in Morocco in January have been released after receiving a royal pardon from King Mohammed VI. The group had been sentenced in February for hooliganism linked to the contentious AFCON final, which featured a heated confrontation between Senegal and Morocco.
