Barcelona forward Anthony Gordon argued that the Three Lions should adopt a more traditional approach, whereas manager Tuchel hinted he might start to “embrace the chaos”.

“I think we showed our style, and showed our courage and identity – they showed it throughout the 90 minutes,” said Tuchel.
“I think we were a worthy participant in an excellent match overall; both teams displayed high quality over the full 90 minutes.”
“We created difficulties for ourselves through individual errors. Such mistakes should not happen, but they did.”
“But I believe we played according to our principles, and we encouraged the players to express their own style of play.”
England’s upcoming Nations League fixtures will take place during an extended international window, keeping the squad together for about three weeks.
Tuchel, who must prepare his players for four games in 11 days, described the congested schedule as especially challenging.
“I find this format now even more demanding than any other, I have to say, with a lot of travelling and back‑to‑back fixtures offering only two days of rest, as well as frequent changes of venue,” the German manager added.
“The shift in training methods, the evolution of tactical approaches, and occasional positional changes between club and country all carry inherent injury risks. In my view, this密集的 schedule currently amplifies those risks rather than reducing them.”
