Rare‑earth miner and refiner seeks to strengthen its role as a non‑Chinese supplier

Canberra – Lynas Corp. announced on Thursday plans to acquire Australian‑listed rare‑earth developer Meteoric Resources in an all‑share transaction valued at roughly $672 million. The deal targets Meteoric’s Brazilian rare‑earth deposit, further positioning Lynas as a key alternative to China‑dominant supplies.
