Palestinian authorities are arranging the burial of the remains of 105 individuals killed in a devastating Israeli airstrike on Gaza City in October 2023.
The casualties resulted from a series of Israeli air raids that dropped at least 20 bombs, destroying the seven‑storey Al Taj 3 building and several other residential structures in the Yarmouk Square neighbourhood on the afternoon of 25 October 2023.
Coffins bearing the remains will be borne in a funeral procession with family members on Thursday, according to the General Directorate of Civil Defence.
The remains will be interred at the Sheikh Radwan cemetery, located northwest of Gaza City.
Gaza’s civil defence stated that the recovery effort was conducted in coordination with an Egyptian committee.
