A Chilean fruit supplier has broadened its recall of frozen organic berries distributed to Walmart and Trader Joe’s outlets nationwide.
The items, produced by Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A., are tied to an E. coli outbreak that has sickened 17 individuals and led to six hospitalizations in Florida and Georgia, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported. No fatalities have been recorded.
On Friday, the firm added further batch numbers to its recall, encompassing additional lots of Great Value frozen Organic Triple Berry Blend and Great Value frozen Organic Blueberries.
