According to medical sources speaking to Anadolu, renewed Israeli military strikes across the Gaza Strip left one person dead and 15 others wounded on Sunday.
The escalation occurs despite an ongoing ceasefire agreement that has been in effect across the strip since Oct. 10, 2025.
Medical sources stated that a Palestinian was killed and 10 others were injured after an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle in Al-Hawouz, located in central Gaza south of Deir al-Balah.
Additionally, five more people were wounded, one of them critically, following Israeli shelling aimed at an individual near the Engineers Syndicate headquarters in northwest Gaza City.
Earlier on Sunday, eyewitnesses reported Israeli artillery shelling eastern sections of the Al-Maghazi refugee camp and southern areas of Khan Younis.
Witnesses further noted that Israeli armored vehicles fired toward the southern and eastern parts of Khan Younis and the northern parts of Beit Lahia, while naval vessels targeted the coastlines of Rafah and Gaza City.
Local sources also reported that the Israeli army carried out large-scale demolitions of buildings and facilities in eastern Gaza City.
Per Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement have killed at least 1,445 Palestinians and injured 5,072 others as of Saturday.
Since October 2023, Palestinian figures indicate that Israel’s war in Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000 others, while destroying approximately 90% of the enclave’s infrastructure.
