Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held talks with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa in Riyadh on Tuesday, Anadolu reports.
The kingdom’s official news agency SPA published photographs of the meeting on the social media platform X, without providing additional details.
The Syrian presidency confirmed that Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani also attended the discussions.
Both sides explored the state of bilateral relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia and ways to strengthen them in the interest of mutual cooperation.
They also shared perspectives on recent regional developments and addressed several matters of common concern, aiming to bolster security and stability across the region, according to an official statement.
Sharaa had arrived in the Saudi capital earlier on Tuesday. His previous meeting with the crown prince took place in Jeddah on April 21, where the two leaders discussed bilateral ties and regional affairs. They also spoke by phone on July 30 to review cooperation efforts and ways to ease regional tensions.
