Barcelona have reportedly developed a strong interest in Fulham’s Josh King, remaining highly impressed by his performances as he establishes himself.
The Catalan club is emerging as one of the leading candidates to sign a rising Premier League star.
At just 19, King has gradually moved out of the shadow of his namesake to become one of the Premier League’s most in-demand players. He worked his way into regular first-team status last season and has since become a key figure under Alvaro Arbeloa.
According to reports from TeamTalk, the Spanish club are among the sides monitoring him closely and have been won over by his “outstanding start to the new campaign.”
King has scored twice in the opening five games, despite a shaky start for Fulham under Arbeloa. There is a strong belief that, surrounded by elite players, his performances would only improve. Hansi Flick’s Barcelona, known for their attacking flair, could be the ideal destination.
As observed with Anthony Gordon since his summer signing, playing alongside top-level talent can instantly enhance a player’s output.

Barcelona are far from the first to express interest in King, who has been tipped as a potential star since a very young age.
Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United have all been linked in the past, and most top teams in Europe will certainly seek to determine what it would take to sign the 19-year-old. Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig are all name-checked, although it does not feel likely they have much of a chance.
