The military confirmed on Thursday that Capt. Eliav Haim Tzapalamus, a 21-year-old resident of Haifa, lost his life during an operational incident in southern Lebanon. He served as a combat officer within the Combat Engineering Corps, assigned to the 603rd Battalion of the 7th Brigade.
Tzapalamus was killed when a Humvee overturned during active operations in the Litani sector.
Three additional IDF personnel sustained minor injuries in the same incident.
All three injured soldiers were transported to a medical facility for treatment, and their relatives have been informed.
