Faced with mounting injuries, the Eagles made several roster adjustments on Friday afternoon to shore up their lineup.
As anticipated earlier, the team released quarterback Andy Dalton. Tanner McKee and rookie Cole Payton continue to serve as backups behind Jalen Hurts.
The Eagles have promoted running back Carson Steele and center Jake Majors from the practice squad to the active roster. Additionally, defensive tackle Uar Bernard was placed on the practice squad injured reserve list.
Steele steps in to provide depth while dealing with Saquon Barkley’s absence. During his time with the Chiefs in 2024, he rushed 56 times for 183 yards.
Majors joins an offensive line that has faced significant changes recently, including Lane Johnson’s retirement and the trade of Cam Jurgens earlier this week. With Drew Kendall still recovering from a knee injury, Majors may see playing time in Sunday’s matchup against the Jaguars.
