Yandex announced via Telegram that its data center in Vladimir was damaged, resulting in a complete suspension of operations, while noting efforts to restore service.
Additional attacks on Yandex sites occurred Thursday in Sasovo and Friday near Kaluga, southwest of Moscow, disrupting services including its AI chatbot and smart home devices.
The company, which operates food‑ordering and ride‑hailing apps serving tens of millions of users, emphasized that its data centers are essential for normal service delivery and that the timeline for restoring them is uncertain.
Russian attacks on Ukraine have continued throughout the weekend.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported six injuries from overnight Russian strikes across four districts in the southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region.
On Saturday, at least 20 people, including four children, were killed in Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia, according to local officials.
Russia has previously targeted Ukrainian data centers, causing internet outages and prompting some companies to relocate their servers abroad.
