The TNA Bound For Glory 2026 pay-per-view, held October 11 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, delivered a historic shift in the TNA World Championship.
Leon Slater faced defending champion Nic Nemeth in a highly anticipated rematch, seeking redemption after a loss earlier in 2025.
The contest featured numerous near‑falls; Nemeth landed several Fameassers and his Danger Zone finisher, yet Slater kicked out each time.
Slater countered with a Swanton 450, but Nemeth survived the attempt.
In the climax, Slater thwarted another Danger Zone with a Blue Thunder Bomb, took the fight to the floor, and hit his Big Play Slater maneuver.
Returning to the ring, Slater delivered a second Swanton 450 to secure the pin and claim the TNA World Championship.
At 22 years old, Slater becomes the youngest TNA World Champion ever, surpassing Tessa Blanchard’s record set at age 24 in January 2020.
The victory marks a major milestone in Slater’s ascendant career and positions him as the new face of TNA’s world‑championship scene.
