[Tyreek Hill Sentenced to Liability for Two Battery Charges]
A Miami jury has determined that Tyreek Hill is liable for two counts of battery, though it ruled him not responsible for the remaining eight claims brought by his former partner Lakeeta Vaccaro, concluding the high‑profile civil trial linking the NFL receiver with his estranged wife.
Hill, a longtime member of the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, received liability for incidents occurring in January 2024 and April 2025.
The court awarded Vaccaro $500,000 (≈ £377,000) in compensatory damages but declined to impose punitive payments.
The judgment found Hill, age 32, not at fault for eight additional charges that encompassed battery, assault and ongoing domestic‑violence allegations.
During testimony, Vaccaro recounted alleged actions in which Hill allegedly tugged her hair and referred to her as simply “a man.”
When called to testify, Hill largely rejected the claims, denouncing what he described as “false allegations” while noting that in one episode he had shoved him and supposedly caused a small impact that breached a wall.
Hill, dressed in a dark polo shirt on the day of the hearing, clasped a lawyer’s hand and left the courtroom alone afterward.
Legal experts acknowledge that the verdict does not definitively resolve the implications for Hill’s upcoming return to professional football.
Physical setbacks continue to affect Hill; after suffering a dislocated knee and tumbling ligaments during a stint with the Dolphins in September 2025, his representative Drew Rosenhaus indicates he may be returning to play by November.
