[Elon Musk Finalizes Settlement on Controversial 2024 Election Lottery Scheme]
Elon Musk and his America Pac political action committee announced yesterday that they have concluded negotiations and will file separate proposals class action suits related to claims that the billionaire entrepreneur deceived voters in several pivotal states ahead of the 2024 U.S. presidential race by offering a lotterypromised daily payment of one million dollars.
The plaintiffs, Musk and America Pac told the district judge in Austin, Texas, on Thursday that they have entered into settlement agreements pending judicial approval.
No specific settlement terms have been disclosed, and attorneys representing the parties declined to add further comments or respond to requests for additional information.
The litigation targets Arizona residents who argued that Musk and America Pac misled thousands of citizens in seven swing states into signing a petition endorsing congressional action under the claim of defending the United States Constitution in exchange for a promise of a daily one‑million‑dollar lottery draw.
The defendants deny the allegations made by the plaintiffs.
Musk created America Pac to bolster support for Donald Trump, who won re‑election in November 2024 for a second term.
A federal judge issued an order in June requiring Musk—the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and owner of the X social media platform—to appear for testifying in these cases.
