Pope Leo XIV made his first public appearance on Sunday since undergoing lung cancer surgery, delivering the Angelus prayer from the window of the Vatican’s Apostolic Palace. The procedure, performed just days earlier, addressed a diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma, the most common form of the disease. Following the prayer, the pontiff expressed gratitude to those who had offered prayers and support during his recovery, stating he intends to gradually resume his duties as his health improves.
