Keith Lee’s Contractual Standing With AEW Is Still Under Investigation
Keith Lee continues to be under contract with AEW, although his presence on television has been limited over several years.
His most recent televised match occurred during the December 23, 2023, Holiday Bash broadcast of AEW Collision. He has not appeared on television since that date, and his current in‑ring status remains unclear.
During the latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A, seasoned commentator Sean Ross Sapp answered a fan query concerning Lee’s contract and any reported injuries. It was confirmed that Lee remains bound by his AEW contract; nonetheless, he is not presently scheduled for inclusion in the promotion’s future creative planning.
Earlier reports indicated that AEW explored the prospect of Lee returning during the first half of the current year. Despite those assurances, the planned comeback never materialized, and the organization refused to disclose the underlying reasons for the delay.
A separate issue surfaced in September when Lee shared an image alongside Darius Wright, an instructor of alternative spiritual modalities such as out‑of‑body experiences.
The post generated limited discussion within AEW for roughly one day, after which further dialogue disappeared.
