European football governing body UEFA has demanded that FIFA release crucial documents related to its governance and decision-making processes by November 2.
During Thursday’s FIFA Council meeting, President Gianni Infantino apologized for his proposed World Cup sell-off plan but did not provide the documents connected to the proposal.
According to a letter reviewed by BBC Sport, UEFA General Secretary Theodore Theodoridis stated that world football’s governing body had not addressed “a number of fundamental questions.”
“Any refusal to disclose information or documents must be individually justified, with a clear explanation of the specific grounds relied upon,” the letter stated.
UEFA also transmitted an eight-page document outlining several concerns, including the FIFA Forward Enterprise private investment proposal, the FIFA Peace Prize, and the suspended ban involving Folarin Balogun.
FIFA has been contacted for comment.
