Six Palestinians, including two children and a married couple, were killed and eleven others injured in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, marking the latest violations of an ostensibly active ceasefire.
Medical sources told Anadolu Agency that one Palestinian was killed and another wounded in an Israeli strike near the al-Sawarha cemetery, west of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
In northern Gaza, medical sources reported that one Palestinian sustained serious injuries in an Israeli drone strike targeting the al-Qasasib area of the Jabalia refugee camp.
Another Palestinian was killed in an Israeli strike in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, according to medical sources speaking with Anadolu.
Israeli army fire also killed a Palestinian child in the Wadi Gaza area of the central Gaza Strip, the sources added.
A medical official at Al-Shifa Hospital told Anadolu that the bodies of a married couple arrived at the facility alongside four injured Palestinians, including three women, after an Israeli airstrike hit a home in western Gaza City.
Witnesses reported that an Israeli helicopter fired at least one missile at the family residence near Al-Shifa Hospital, killing the couple and injuring several others.
The strike ignited a fire in the house, which civil defense crews later extinguished, witnesses said.
In southern Gaza, Israeli gunfire killed a Palestinian child in the Qizan Abu Rashwan area, south of Khan Younis.
Five additional Palestinians, including a woman and two children, were injured by Israeli army fire in Hamad City, north of Khan Younis, and in areas south of the city.
In eastern Gaza City, the Israeli army conducted artillery shelling and opened heavy fire from military vehicles and quadcopter drones toward Palestinian homes and tents housing displaced people in the Tuffah neighborhood.
The shelling and gunfire persisted through the night, with witnesses reporting multiple explosions as the Israeli army demolished homes and civilian structures within areas under its control.
Israeli warships also fired bullets and shells toward the northern coast of Gaza City, while military vehicles unleashed heavy fire on the Sudaniya area in the northwestern Gaza Strip.
Witnesses said Israeli tanks directed heavy fire at homes and tents sheltering displaced people across several areas of central, southern, and northern Khan Younis.
The army additionally carried out extensive demolitions in areas under its control east of the city, they added.
