Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are locked in a highly anticipated clash at the Parc des Princes, where both sides are demonstrating intense, full-throttle defending alongside thrilling offensive football.
The home side eventually took the lead through a quality finish from Desire Doue, a goal they deserved after creating the better opportunities. However, Barcelona remained a threat on the counter-attack. Their best chance came shortly after going behind, when winger Fermin Lopez was released by an excellent through ball.
Lopez attempted a delicate chip over the advancing Matvey Safonov, but the goalkeeper managed to knock the ball down. As defender Willian Pacho rushed in to clear the loose ball, the follow-up attempt from Lopez inadvertently caught the big defender squarely in the head.

Pacho able to recover after nasty blow to the head

The good news is that, after receiving medical treatment on the pitch, Pacho was able to soldier on and continue the match. He will now use the half-time break to assess his condition, though it is certain to be a painful reminder of his heroic effort for the remainder of the game and in the days to follow.
In a match where Paris Saint-Germain are beginning to assert control following their goal, this moment of sheer determination highlighted how a depleted Barcelona side can still compete at the highest level. The through ball and run from Fermin were superb, highlighting the threat they pose on the break alongside Anthony Gordon against PSG’s high defensive line.
