Racing Toward Mega-Merger: SpaceX and Tesla Form Special Committees to Explore Combination
Elon Musk announced that both companies have established special committees dedicated to examining a potential merger. This initiative represents an early stage toward creating one of the most significant corporate partnerships in history.
“There is substantial merit to combining the firms,” Musk, who serves as CEO of both organizations, stated during Tuesday’s SpaceX earnings call.
“Cooperation offers considerable advantages when advancing artificial general intelligence development,” he added.
He clarified that his personal stance prevents him from participating directly in the committee deliberations, noting that negotiations remain unresolved regarding terms and conditions.
