Gloucestershire all-rounder Daaryoush ‘Daz’ Ahmed has extended his contract with the club until the end of 2027.
The 26-year-old from Bristol has made 23 appearances for Gloucestershire across all three formats of the game.
He recorded a career-best first-class score of 90 not out from 117 balls against Middlesex in the County Championship earlier this season and has taken six wickets.
In the One Day Cup, he posted figures of 4-56 and hit 48 from 38 balls in a three-wicket win over Northamptonshire.
“He has poured his heart and soul into improving as a cricketer over the past year, and we have seen glimpses of some really strong performances from him across the season,” Gloucestershire director of cricket Jon Lewis told the club website., external
“The contract extension shows that we are keen to invest in him, and we believe there is a future for him here at Gloucestershire,” Lewis said.
Ahmed added: “Gloucestershire is a club that means a lot to me and to my family.
“Growing up in Bristol and having played for the club from a young age, continuing my career here at Gloucestershire is brilliant news, and I am looking forward to what the next year holds.”
