Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has announced his starting lineup for this afternoon’s Premier League encounter against Everton at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners enter the match on a two-game winning streak in the league; a victory today would see them move level on points with league leaders Manchester City.
Arteta has opted for five changes to the starting eleven. While David Raya remains between the posts, the defensive flanks have been shuffled. Ben White and Myles Lewis-Skelly have been brought in to replace Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori at right-back and left-back, respectively.
Ezri Konsa continues his partnership with Gabriel Magalhaes in the heart of the defense.
In midfield, Declan Rice will be joined by Mikel Merino, as Bruno Guimaraes is rested following a demanding midweek trip to Munich.
The attacking rotation sees Eberechi Eze occupy the left wing, while Noni Madueke steps in on the right to cover for the injured Bukayo Saka.
Martin Odegaard retains his position as the creative number 10, but the biggest change comes upfront. Viktor Gyokeres replaces Kai Havertz, earning his first league start of the campaign. The Swedish forward is rewarded with a place in the XI after providing a clinical assist during the 2-2 Champions League draw against Bayern Munich.
Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Everton: Raya; White, Konsa, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Merino; Madueke, Odegaard, Eze; Gyokeres.
