Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is praising the early impact of new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, noting a productive start to their partnership.
“It’s been a really good process so far,” Hurts remarked. “He’s come in with a very clear sense of direction. You can definitely see the vision. He has answered all my questions and has been incredibly instructive and helpful. It’s been a very enjoyable journey thus far.”
Mannion, who previously served as the quarterbacks coach for the Green Bay Packers, was brought in this offseason to succeed Kevin Patullo, whose play-calling faced significant scrutiny last season. Hurts expressed enthusiasm for Mannion’s leadership and strategic approach.
“It’s a different leader, a different coordinator, and a different philosophical approach, which is exciting,” Hurts said. “It’s an opportunity to learn a new brand of football, gain a fresh perspective, and continue to grow. That’s the purpose of OTAs—laying the foundation. I’m moving at his pace, and he has been very intentional about what he’s doing and the reasoning behind it.”
Hurts emphasized that the team is fully committed to the new direction of the offense.
“The focus is on learning what Coach Sean is installing and the direction we are heading,” Hurts added. “That is a collective effort that requires total buy-in. We are all building a shared belief by mastering our individual roles and establishing our identity as we move forward.”
