Trisha Paytas disclosed her mixed emotions regarding the cheating scandal that involved her former Frenemies co‑host, Ethan Klein, and his wife, Hila Klein. After Hila alleged a six‑month affair with an undisclosed individual, Ethan announced that he is working to distance himself from the H3 podcast they co‑hosted.
On her own program, Just Trish, Paytas stated that she felt relief when Ethan announced the termination of the podcast, noting that H3 is currently on an indefinite hiatus.
She added that the relief was bittersweet, expressing sadness over the situation. She confessed feeling ashamed, describing it as an awful ending, and revealed that she has prayed daily for five years for it to conclude.
Paytas’s relationship with the Kleins is complex. Both she and Ethan are veteran YouTubers, and although their rapport has sometimes been strained, they launched the popular Frenemies podcast in 2020. Though the series was successful, it was abruptly terminated in 2021 after roughly nine months. Paytas has been reluctant to detail the fallout but has spoken openly about the emotional impact.
Additionally, Paytas’s husband, Moses Hacmon, is Hila’s brother, and the two have been separated for roughly five years.
Consequently, Paytas noted that many people who felt wronged by Ethan rejoiced at the scandal’s disclosure, but she emphasized that she does not share that sentiment because the matter involves Moses’s family. She added that they share children of similar age and that there is inherent sensitivity surrounding the situation.
Hacmon also appeared on Just Trish to address the issue, having previously refrained from public comment about Ethan and Hila. After stating that he has cut off contact with both individuals, he explained that he cannot discuss Hila because they have not met in about five years, but he clarified that Ethan is no longer part of his family, allowing him to speak openly about him.

Hacmon accused Ethan of doing everything possible to ruin his family, which he says was successful, and similarly caused the breakdown of his own family, which also proved successful.
Nevertheless, Hacmon said that reading his sister’s statement moved him to tears. He recalled warning her that Ethan is a liar and that she should not expect to prioritize her brother over her husband, acknowledging that she had to act in her best interest. He concluded that the relentless lies have ultimately devastated both Ethan and his family.

Paytas is slated to disclose further details about Ethan and the Frenemies saga in an upcoming memoir scheduled for release in November. Since the manuscript was completed before the allegations surfaced, she has already done promotional work on the book, discussing Ethan while unaware of the alleged infidelities.
Despite a prolonged feud with Ethan, she asserts that she feels largely healed and that they have survived the five‑year storm. She notes that occasional reminders have persisted, making her feel that the harassment may never truly end, but she perceives this as the conclusion of that conflict.
