Israel’s President Isaac Herzog stated on Thursday that allegations regarding foreign funding received by Arab political parties should undergo comprehensive investigation, while emphasizing the importance of not stigmatizing the broader Arab community, which participated in the recent elections in unprecedented numbers.
“The evidence and the allegations (of fraud) must be fully investigated, and those responsible must be arrested and held accountable according to the full extent of the law,” Herzog declared. “However, even during such challenging times, we must ensure that we do not tarnish an entire community that exercised its democratic right to vote and actively participated in the political process.”
