Market Overview
The cryptocurrency market has slipped back toward recent lows, with total market capitalisation at $2.67 trillion. As equity indices resumed their decline, crypto prices were unable to recover, amid expectations of higher interest rates and concerns over corporate earnings after a sharp drop in Alphabet shares. Most altcoins fell over the past 24 hours, though a few posted modest gains. BNB (+0.6%), Tron (+0.02%) and Litecoin (−0.7%) outperformed the broader market, while the biggest decliners were Basic Attention Token (−9.5%), Near Protocol (−8.3%) and Dash (−7.4%).
On Wednesday, Bitcoin encountered resistance near its 50‑day moving average, reversing from the $81.7K level and retreating to $79.9K. This marks another test of support within a narrow trading range. Because of its strong correlation with the Nasdaq‑100, the primary risk is a move toward $75K if bears maintain pressure.
BNB has shown relative strength, having risen over the past four days and staying above its 50‑day moving average on Wednesday. After a brief pullback from recent highs on Thursday, the medium‑term trend is again being tested. Throughout the second half of October, BNB‑USD has outperformed Bitcoin, though both remain more than 6 % below their October highs.
