Glamorgan batsman Asa Tribe has been excluded from the England Lions squad for the West Indies series after traveling to Kenya.
Tribe played three one‑day matches for Jersey in Nairobi in late October, competing against Kuwait, Papua New Guinea and the host nation.
He was scheduled to join the England Lions for a series of Twenty20 and one‑day fixtures against West Indies A.
However, concerns about a deadly Ebola outbreak in Kenya resulted in Tribe being barred from entering Saint Kitts & Nevis, the venue for the matches.
“Saint Kitts & Nevis has imposed a 21‑day entry ban on non‑nationals who have visited Kenya and seven other African countries affected by Ebola,” said an England and Wales Cricket Board spokesperson to BBC Sport Wales.
“Asa is back in the UK, and we are coordinating with the appropriate authorities.”
England Lions secured a decisive eight‑wicket victory in the opening Twenty20 on Sunday, bowling West Indies A out for 98, with Naavya Sharma claiming four wickets and Scott Currie three.
Captain Thomas Rew remained unbeaten on 50 as the tourists posted 101‑2 after 10.1 overs.
