SEOUL — Kim Yo Jong, the influential sister of North Korea’s leader, has issued a stern warning to the United States, signaling that Pyongyang will intensify its countermeasures in reaction to what it describes as America’s unwavering hostile policy. The statement, carried by the state‑run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Wednesday, underscores the regime’s pledge to match or exceed the current level of U.S. actions with corresponding retaliatory steps.
“Amid an ongoing surge in U.S. hostile policies toward the DPRK, it is only fitting that we respond with equally heightened measures,” Kim Yo Jong was quoted as saying. “Our reflective counteraction will be calibrated to ensure that the United States recognizes the seriousness of its continued aggression.”
